Haywards Heath, UK
Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for older people, collaborated with Boss Design andDevon Interiors to create the perfect interior at their luxurious new independent living development in Haywards Heath, United Kingdom. Hurst Place will be home to first-class houses and apartments specifically designed to meet the needs of older people. The brief from Anchor had two simple but essential points; to provide a high-end hospitality aesthetic in the public areas of the development, but to also ensure that the product was suitable for the people residing there. With this in mind, Lyndon was the perfect choice for Anchor, offering practicality without having to compromise on comfort, luxury and high quality design.
The light and airy public Club House featured dark grey tones, complimented by an old gold accent colour. This made a stylish statement and the furniture specified certainly reflected that. Two Lysander armchairs ,upholstered in a luxurious yellow velvet, were placed next to two Lysander sofas, upholstered in a textured grey fabric. The sofas were adorned with plush cushions upholstered in the same velvet as the armchairs, offering additional comfort and a luxury aesthetic.
In the reading room, calmer blue, white and grey tones were used with a teal accent. The room is used for quiet reflection away from the busy Club House. Here, four of Boss Design’s elegant Albany armchairs were specified in a soft grey tone, chosen for its hand crafted solid oak legs and distinctive buttoned back.Accompanying the Albany’s, two Mr chairs sit together making a statement in teal, with their wooden legs and sophisticated full seat embracing the user. The chair incorporates contemporary touches, such as a button detail, but oozes timeless style, making it perfect for this luxury living development.
Sophie Weeks, Interior Designer from Devon Interiors, commented, “We chose Boss Design for this project because the quality of the furniture is exceptional. We specify BossDesign products because we know that they are well made, classically designed and can be used across a number of different types of projects.”
